Steps to Become a Franchisee
To reach Mr. Pickle's Franchise Sales Department call

Step 1: Call Mr. Pickle's Franchise Sales
department, 916.746.7727, and speak directly to CEO, Frank Fagundes.
You will have the opportunity to hear from Frank how Mr. Pickle's
has made him successful and how in turn he can help make you successful.
You can discuss expectations, qualifications, systems, timetables,
and available locations. Frank will be happy to answer any questions
you may have regarding franchise opportunities with Mr. Pickle's.
Step 2: Once you have determined that Mr.
Pickle's is the right choice for you, complete the Online
Form or download the Franchise
Application (PDF).
Step 3: We will review your application immediately
and, if it appears you are well qualified, we will send you the
Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC). The UFOC contains
the information about the franchise offer and agreement terms.
Step 4: After ten business days from the delivery
of the UFOC we will sign a Franchise Agreement. Before signing
you will submit two years tax returns and a current financial
statement. After verifying funds, we will sign the Franchise Agreement.
At the time of the signing you will submit a $25,000 non-refundable
portion of the Franchise Fee.
Step 5: Together we will review information
covering site selection, preliminary site information and ultimately
select a location. We will prepare work letters and a letter of
intent to lease (LOI) for submittal to the owner/landlord as well
as preliminary site plans for the design of the store. The LOI
will be submitted by us through our real estate broker.
Step 6: We will negotiate, subject to your
approval, a final lease for the store site with the owner/landlord
which will be executed by you.
Step 7: Once the lease has been approved,
final architectural plans will be prepared for your particular
site under our direction. We will obtain all necessary permits
and select a contractor to begin construction, unless you have
a contractor you prefer to use.
Step 8: You must complete, to Mr. Pickle's
Inc.'s satisfaction, one week pre training at another location
of our choice before you open your store.
Step 9: You will need to hire a staff to begin
training for your grand opening. We continue training of your
staff on the premises before, during and after the grand opening.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is previous food or restaurant experience necessary
to obtain a Mr. Pickle's franchise?
Restaurant experience is always helpful but, if you have experience
running another type of business including working with employees
and customers, managing cash and generating financial statements,
we have a complete training program and manuals as well as field
operational staff that can help you learn this business as well
as provide ongoing support for you.
Is there a cost for the training program or ongoing
support?
The cost of the training school is included in your franchise
fee, including training and support at your location for the Grand
Opening. Travel, lodging, and food, are the responsibility of
the individual franchisee. On going field support after opening
can be provided at a per diem cost.
How much does a franchise cost?
Our turn-key units are between $249,000 - $299,000. Mr. Pickle's
Inc. determines price by location. Our franchise fee is $100,000
but is included in our turn-key pricing.
What does a "turn-key package" mean?
It means we will (a) complete the build-out and/or remodeling
of the Unit premises consistant to Mr. Pickle's standards; (b)
purchase and install required equipment, furnishings, fixtures,
signs and décor as required by Mr. Pickle's Inc; (c) prepare
the Unit for opening for business as required by System Standards
in our UFOC; and (d) initial training as detailed in UFOC.
Am I protected from other Mr. Pickle's stores opening
near my store?
We have a 0 to 1 mile protected area ratio and it will be determined
and documented when signing the Franchise Agreement.
How long do I have to develop the stores under the
Franchise Agreement and Master Franchise Agreement?
You have one year to obtain an approved location, and 180 days
to open the first store. However, if the location cannot be secured
within one year we can extend that time based on reasonable circumstances.
That would also extend the time for opening. The Master Franchise
Agreement will define the number of stores to be opened and the
opening schedule as negotiated between the franchisee and franchisor.

How is an area defined for a Master Franchise Agreement?
We will define it by city, county or state in our Master Franchise
Agreement.
How long is the Franchise Agreement, and is it renewable?
The Franchise Agreement is for 5 years and renewable for 5 additional
years upon payment of the renewal fee of $25,000. Every year on
the anniversary date $5,000 is due for the 5 year term.
How much is the royalty payment and how is it collected?
There is NO Royalty payment. That's what make us the best choice
for your investment.
What are the advertising fees?
We do not charge an advertising fee. We share our simple 'touch
the public' concept with you as a tool of success. You are also
recommended to spend 1% of gross on local advertising. CHECK UFOC.
I have little or no experience in commercial lease
transactions. Will Mr. Pickle's assist me?
Yes. We have on staff personnel who are familiar with commercial
leasing, including tenant work letters, and letters of intent.
While we will review and help prepare these documents, we do not
serve as legal counsel or in any other professional capacity.
How much will it cost to open a store?
The cost of opening a Mr. Pickle's varies with location and size.

Who can I call to discuss a business loan?
You are welcome to visit any financial institution. We are Small
Buisiness Association Registry approved which helps expedite the
loan process. We can certainly send you to our preferred lender.
